Wanda W. Machamer's Obituary
Wanda W. Machamer, 90, of Eustis passed away on Saturday February 27, 2010. She was born in Castile, New York and moved here in 1975 from Subic Bay, Philippines. Mrs. Machamer was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis and Ladies Sodality of the Church, was a self employed beautician, a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WWII and a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary of Leesburg. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years Ernest J., her children Ernest J. (Rita) Machamer Jr. of Umatilla, Margaret J. (John) Brennan of Eustis. Her stepchildren, Patricia A.Gittins of Yuma, Arizona, James E. (Jenny) Machamer of Eustis, Karl E. (Edie) Machamer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Joseph M. Machamer of Mount Dora, Frances M. (George) Gerst of Grand Island, a sister Mary Lucas of Buffalo, New York, 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis at 2 PM Thursday, March 4, 2010, with Fr. Francis X. Zammit officiating. Interment will followed in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. A visitation was in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Wednesday, Mazrch 3, 2010, from 5 until 7 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM. The family requests those desiring direct memorials to Cornerstone Hospice.
