Steven Rand Retey's Obituary
Steven Rand Retey of Eustis, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 79. Steve was born in Bedford, Ohio. He moved to Eustis from Ohio in the early 1960’s. Steve proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard from 1964 – 1970, during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he went to work at Mission Inn in Howey-in-the Hills, working as the course superintendent. He played an integral role in developing the second Golf course as well as two water treatment facilities. He retired in the early 1990’s.
Steve was a master wood worker, creating some amazing pieces. Working on and improving his home was something he found very enjoyable as well.
He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his son, Jeffrey Rand Retey of Bella Vista, Arkansas and his sister, Bonnie (Gary) Holcomb of Streetsboro, Ohio.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. A memorial ceremony will start at 11:00 AM.
