Roy L. Laws' Obituary
Roy L. Laws of Leesburg, FL passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Jonesborough, TN. Roy retired from MichCon Gas Company, where he worked in the service dept. He and his wife, Margaret, traveled back and forth to Florida for 5 years before relocating permanently to Leesburg in 2008. He is a member of Victory Baptist Church in Eustis. Roy loved antique cars, especially the Tucker 48 model and was a member of the Tucker Club Association. As a boy he enjoyed trapping and eventually hunting big and small game. Roy also loved music. He would get together with friends twice a week to play guitar. Roy is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 34 years, Margaret; son, Thomas L. Laws of Trenton, MI; daughter, Debra Ann Laws of Manistee, MI; grandchildren, Andrew and Nicole Laws of Trenton; brothers, Robert (Leoda) Laws of Kingsport, TN and Bennie (Sharon) Hale of Johnson City, TN; sister, Anna Ruth Hale (Janette Rodefer) of Blountville, TN; cousin Clayton Hale of Johnson City; and nephew, Buddy Laws of Johnson City. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the funeral home. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis. Condolences may be left on the tribute wall.
