Remembering the times we spent together working at Krogers on Leonard Street in the early fifties, sharing an apartment on Turner Avenue and visiting the root beer stand next door because of the great hot dogs. There are a lot of fond memories with a very special friend. May you rest in peace, Roy.
i worked with roy many years at the gas company. he was a lover of country music as am i. he was great friend and a great co-worker. sorry to hear of his passing.
As a former brother in-law, I have nothing but fond memories of Roy. To me he was a kind fellow with a wry sense of humor. He always had a funny story to tell and with his roots in the South they all had a believable earthy tone to them. The fondest times I spent with Roy was on the quiet waters of the Thornapple River fishing for small mouth bass. In his most secrete fishing hole, of course. Yes, those memories will forever be a delight. RIP my friend.

Roy will be remembered by many and will be missed. He was a laid back kinda man and enjoyed music so much. Johnnie Cash was his idol and he sang his songs. Always helpful with his friends.
Roy will be missed by many. He was a great guy with a good personality. I met Roy and Maggie in 2002 and it has been a pleasure to know them both. He liked his music, especially Johnnie Cash, and when he sang he sounded just like Johnnie. It has been a pleasure to know them both and Roy will be remember as a very good man.
