Roberta F. Depken's Obituary
Roberta Depken, 93, of Mount Dora, passed away peacefully March 7, 2011 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, Florida. Roberta was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Loren and Adeline (Johnson) Garland. She was an active communicant of St. Andrews Church in Eustis where she enjoyed many friendships. Roberta was an avid bridge player and until a few years ago and avid golfer. Roberta and her husband George enjoyed many years at Silver Lake Country Club playing golf and made many friends whom Roberta was still in touch with. She will be remembered for her love of life, love of family and her capacity to make us smile. Roberta is survived by her daughter Karen Louise and her husband Alan Kalpajian, grandchildren, Kevin (wife Nona), Heather (husband Justin), Jason (wife Kimberly) and Ryan (fiancé Emily) great grandchildren Hayley and Todd, son-in-law Dana Hatch, sister Doris McCree of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband George, her daughter Nancy Ruth Hatch, three sisters and two brothers. The family received friends in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 4 until 6 PM. Services were held in St. Andrews Church on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Noon.
