When I was about to turn 50, Pat and Jerry, ( my Dad ),came up here to Michigan, for a family reunion that we arranged just for them. That was the first time we met I think, we had a great time together, and that day my daughter went into labor and had my grandson Austin, it was rather exciting. Then on my birthday( the next day) Pat, Dad, Aunt Dorothy and I went to Frankenmuth, to the Christmas Store. Dad had wanted to take me there since I had never gone there before, we had an awesome time, had dinner and spent the day enjoying each others company. Since that time we became great friends, we talked all the time on the phone. I even got to go down to Florida a few times to visit them and I even met her daughter Pat, she was also very nice. Pat was an amazing woman, although she couldn't see , she wanted to do everything herself, and she did, she even made an apple pie for dessert when I was there. I'm so happy to have met her, she was like a Mom to me. My prayers go out to her family, I will miss her so very much.
