Ernie was a good person. I found a piece of jewelry on a dance floor one night. Knowing that it was special to someone, I walked up to Ernie & Darlene & said I think you dropped something. Not know the real worth, he called for me to come by the jewelry store one day. Not expecting anything, he gave me a beautiful piece of jewelry as a reward. He, Darlene and I became good friends and I loved getting to know them. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.
Ernie was always so good to us. I will never forget his million dollar smile and his loving and giving attitude. Ernie Garner you will be missed!
We grew up on the same street in Eustis, Tyringham Rd. He was like having another big brother. I loved his laugh. But because 7th-12th grades were together and he always watched out for me. I got to be just a little more popular because he was so handsome and a lot of girls asked for my assistance in getting a date with him. He knew I was working this but he just laughed and said just bring me the names. Such a great guy. Love you brother. Betsie Phillips
