Joseph Faries' Obituary
Joseph Faries 93, of Sorrento, passed away on October 31, 2014. He was born in Bermuda and moved to Sorrento from Lake Mary in 2001. He was the founder of Faries Well Drilling of Paget, Bermuda. Joseph was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora and a Veteran of World War II having served in the British Army. He was an accomplished guitarist, a Licensed Pilot who enjoyed flying seaplanes and a member of the Audubon Society. In 2013 he was predeceased by his wife Patricia, they had been married for 67 years. Survivors include his children; Rick (Lori) Faries of Tavares, Andy (Holly) Faries of Winter Springs, Ellie (Bill) Perry and Joy (Larry) Maillet all of Sorrento, his grandchildren; Kevin (Tiffany) Perry of Eustis, Kirk Perry of Sorrento, A.J. Faries of Winter Springs, Ashley Maillet of Sorrento, Amy Faries of Winter Springs and Jacob Faries of Tavares and his great grandchildren; Ariel, Liam, Chloe, Sam, Rebekah and Rowan.
Memorial services will be held in The First Baptist Church of Mount
Dora on Sunday, November 9th at 2 PM with Dr. Thomas Jamieson officiating.
