John Carleton Hofmeister's Obituary
John Carleton Hofmeister 83, of Eustis, passed away on August 7, 2012. He was born in Unionville, Michigan and moved to Eustis in 1972. He was a residential and commercial building contractor and a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian church of Eustis. John served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and formerly was an active Private Pilot. He is survived by his wife Barbara, they were married for 53 years. Also surviving are his children; David (Patricia) Hofmeister of Auburn Hills, Detroit, Michigan, Paul K. (Gretel) Hofmeister of Huntsville, Alabama, Tom (Dawn) Hofmeister of Eustis and Rebecca H. (Stoney) Newman of Umatilla, his brother Jack of Ft. Myers, and sister Elaine Bowen of Topeka, Kansas, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family received friends in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Friday from 5 until 7 PM, memorial services were held in the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis at 11 AM Saturday with Rev.
