Jesse Wendell Castleberry died Saturday, November 19th, in Eustis, Florida. He was 92. He was born Oct. 17, 1924, in Straughn, Alabama, to James Newton and Nellie Robbins Castleberry, the second of four sons. He grew up in Prattvi Read Obituary
I recall corresponding with him re information re the Castleberry genealogy. Was wonderful to talk with. I will always be grateful to him for the work he did on the Castleberry genealogy and I treasure his books. He was an amazing man. My heartfelt sympathy to all the family.
I recall the fun family trips from Texas to Florida to visit our Castleberry cousins. Lots of kids, laughter and fun! Your mom made lasagna, which I'd never tried, and I loved it! I also learned to water ski for the first time at your home. Wonderful childhood memories. Try to find comfort by remembering the wonderful legacy your parents have left in each of you and in your children. I send my love and prayers to all of you at this time of deep loss. xoxo Annie
