Herbert J. Ginsberg's Obituary
Herbert Ginsberg, 83, of Grand Island, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born in 1933 in Newark, New Jersey, and relocated to Florida in December 2015. He proudly and honorably served in the US military during the Korean War. Post-service, Herb worked as a traveling salesman for Bell-Art for many years and quickly became a well-respected and successful figure in the industry.
Herb had an unmatched knowledge of antiques and took pleasure in operating a successful antique shop in New Jersey for many years. He was a lover of life and enjoyed sports, playing cards, fishing, and Ebay. He treasured his ever-growing family and took immense pride in the accomplishments made by all. Herb took a genuine interest in the lives of everyone around him, easily making friends and effortlessly endearing himself to those around him that he may have only just met.
Herb is survived by his sister, Helene; daughters, Laurie Howell, Debra Ginsberg, and Susan Kline ; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and countless friends. A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:00A.M. Located at: Lakeside Memory Gardens, 36601 C.R. 19-A North, Eustis, FL 32726.
