George S. Pearson's Obituary
George S. Pearson 82, of Deland, passed away on March 15, 2012. He was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Deland from Mount Dora in 2010. He was a retired printer, Missionary, College Administrator and Pastor. George enjoyed photography and printing and was a former member of the Mount Dora Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife Barbara; they were married for 60 years. Also surviving are his children Robbie (John) Stanley of Charlotte, Vermont, Mark (Brenda) Pearson of Springfield, Missouri, Daniel (Bonnie) Pearson of Erial, New Jersey and Rose (Juan) Cardenas of Mount Dora, brother David Pearson of Nevada, sister Donna Schmid of Buffalo, New York and twelve grandchildren; Jonathan Pearson, Jake Stanley, Joseph Pearson Tim Pearson, Andrew Pearson, Rachel Pearson, Abigail Pearson, Cody Stanley, Adam Pearson, Lydia Pearson, Seth Pearson and Luca Cardenas. Mr. Pearson was predeceased by his son George Stuart Pearson and brother Robert Pearson. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts to the George S. Pearson Memorial Fund at Calvary Bible College, 15800 Calvary Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64147 or online at calvary.edu. Services were held in Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Eustis at 1 PM Saturday with Rev. Charles Birch and Rev. David Strem officiating. The final resting place will be Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora. The family received friends in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Friday the 23rd from 4 until 6 PM.
