From the time I first met George in 1971-72, while he was in administration at Calvary Bible College, to his time in administration at Miami Christian College he was a man of God and nothing less. He loved God and served Him because he loved Him. He was exemplary at home, at work, and at church, as well as in the community. It will be a pleasure to one day hear our Lord say to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant." God's comfort and richest blessings to all his family members and brothers and sisters in Christ.Your fellow servant,Pastor Paul S. Carpenter##imported-begin##Paul S. Carpenter##imported-end##
Dr Pearson was such a blessing to me while I was at MCC as a student. I thank God for his ministry to me as a student. I pray that God will comfort the family in his absence knowing that one day we will all be together with him in heaven.##imported-begin##Stanley Burtch##imported-end##
Our friendship with George and Barbara extends longer than their 60 years of marriage! George and I met around a mutual love for the printed word when we started working together on the John Brown University student newspaper in 1948. Each of us found the love of his life in "student form" a couple years later, and the resulting foursome has continued close ties to this day despite the distances that kept us apart for much of our lives. This closeness was exemplified in our children, who considered the other couple more "uncle" and "aunt" than just family friends. So for us George's promotion to glory is certainly more like the loss of a blood brother than a mere friend, however close. We'll miss him and continue in prayer and thought for the family now and until we're reunited in heaven.##imported-begin##Harry & Norma Jean Waterhouse##imported-end##

George had an influence in my life for many years. I knew him as a father to Dan and Rose when they were in our youth group. I knew that his children reflected the life of very special parents and their relationship together. We knew George as a leader in the church, an Elder and excellent Bible teacher. Like most people, we know only small bits of another person's life, usually the part that includes ourselves. We were fortunate to take a trip to Africa a number of years ago. It was on that trip that I learned so much more about this man! God blessed us with his faithful servant and I trust we can be a blessing back to the Lord first and then to his dear family.##imported-begin##Chip Birch##imported-end##

Dear Barbara, Rose, Juan, Luca and the rest of the family.I know that when my turn comes to go home to the Lord, that George will be there to meet me, and He will be one of God saints dressed in white. I am certain that he heard the words:" Welcome George my faithful servant, and yes,for a job well done!" He has taught me a lot in his quiet ways, always a friendly word, a smile, always teaching the Word of God, and he has shown wonderful dignity. He will be missed. UteP.S. We will be flying the flag on half-staff until next weekend.##imported-begin##Don, Ute, & Thomas Galloway##imported-end##
