Reaching for the Beyond
An original poem written by Luella Wright LeFevre, February 28, 1984
Never a day goes by
Never a night comes nigh
But I lift mind and eye
To the heights there in the sky.
God the provident provider
Has given us all that is needed
To live, to work, to enjoy,
To have, to hold to improve
As we learn to forward move
Reaching for the unreachable
Until it has become attainable.
Then taking a deep full breath
We strive forward farther to reach
As one climbing an endless stair
One step up then another then another,
Never satisfied, always striving
To reach The Beyond.
