I remember this man with love. My mother (Almeda Trout) and my Aunt Claire (Rice) were members of his church, and tho I lived with my dad in another state, I always came to church there when visiting my mother. I also became a member, and on a completely different note, his son Jeff was my first "boyfriend". I loved the whole family, and my heart goes out to you all in your loss, but my heart rejoices (as I'm sure yours does as well) to know where he is and that one day we'll see him again.

Earl was devoted to his life in ministry. He wasn't perfect (he was always asked NOT to sing). He showed his love for his Lord and walked his talk! Praying for his precious family as you grieve for him. I'm sure he is rejoicing in heaven, singing praises without being asked not to, and free from the pain and troubles of life. I'm grateful for the opportunities I had to share in his life.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of you at your loss. I shared with Earl and Anne for trips to the Senior Saints in the Smokies at Johnson University. These memories I will cherish always. Your dad was a true servant of the Lord and will be missed not only by family but also the many lives he and Anne touched during their ministry. Cherish the memories. God Bless all of you. I had the privilege of hearing Earl preach and teach and learned so much by his example. He was a blessing to me. He always took the time to say a kind word or offer a prayer. His home was open to anyone who came by. He lived what he preached. I will miss him. May God comfort you during this time of sorrow.
