Deborah Johnson Carpenter's Obituary
Deborah Johnson Carpenter 68, of Tavares, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois and moved to Eustis from Wisconsin in 1957. She was a graduate of Barry University in Miami. She was a founder and driving force behind Bay Street Players community theater in Eustis and established the Young Peoples Theater, it is now the longest running children’s theater program in Central Florida. Deborah an had a 43 year record of never missing an opening night at Bay Street Players. She was honored by the City of Eustis declaring Deborah Johnson Carpenter Day on December 22, 2014. Deborah was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Dorothy Johnson and her brother Paul Johnson. She is survived by her dear friend; Elmo Adams and her nieces; Krista Johnson, Courtney Tucker and Melissa Kinsey and her nephews; Stephen Johnson and Cliff Cain. The final resting place will be Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
