William "Bill" Tschida's Obituary
William (“Bill”) Joseph Tschida, Jr. died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 due to complications from a tragic hit and run car wreck. Bill was survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Ann Tschida, their seven children: William R. Tschida (Geraldine), Cynthia Clark (Bruce), Steve (Coleen) Tschida,
Jean Martin (Buddy), Joseph Tschida (Darla), Lawrence Tschida (Lynnette), and Shirley Peacock (Bill); 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his sister, Sharon Doody (Steve). Bill was born and raised in St. Paul, MN but moved his family to Florida at the age of 39. He was a loving husband and father, and always referred to his wife Shirley as his bride even after 61 years of marriage. Bill was a life-long Christian of the Catholic faith and instilled those beliefs in his children. Bill enjoyed a 50-year career in the Real Estate industry which included co-founding Lincoln Realty in Minnesota, creating Ivy, Home Builders of Florida with co-partners, who developed the Village Grove subdivision in Mt. Dora, FL, and prior to his retirement, Bill was the Vice President and Sales Manager for Hawthorne At Leesburg for13 years. Bill was a people person who was known for his uplifting personality, his positive outlook on life, and his real estate acumen. Bill’s presence in a room always lifted the spirits of those around him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6803 Old Hwy 441, Mt. Dora on Thursday, March 27th at 9 AM.
