William Medlock's Obituary
William Kenneth Medlock, Sr. of Tavares, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by his family. He was born to his parents William and Pearl Medlock in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on August 21, 1932. William served as a Baptist Minister of Music and Worship for over 70 years,and as a choir and business teacher for Palm Beach County Schools for over 30 years. He married the love of his life Barbara on May 10, 1968. He was known to all as the sweetest, gentlest, Christian man. He taught his kids and grandkids to love music, laughter, and Jesus.
William is survived by his wife of 56 years Barbara Medlock, daughters Lisa Medlock and Kay Savage, grandchildren William Kenneth Medlock III, Larry Savage, Michelle Abrams, William Proper, Faith Proper, and Elijah Proper, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025, at 10:00am at the Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested for donations to go to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
