Wanda Mae O'Berry's Obituary
Wanda Mae O'Berry 81, of Eustis, passed away on January 30, 2016. She was born in Lansing, Michigan and moved to Eustis in 1957. She and her late husband, Jack, owned and operated Florida TV on Bay Street in Eustis. Jack passed away in 1996. Wanda was also predeceased by her son Michael in 2012 and her daughter Laura in 2015. She is survived by her son Marty of Eustis, daughter Leslie (Tom) Kelley of Mount Dora and daughter Patricia of Cocoa, Florida, her siblings; Jack (Sue) Owens of Eustis and Joan Case of Paragould, Arkansas, nine grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
Wanda was very involved with her husband Jack in the Eustis Little League. Many weekends were spent at the Little League fields not only supporting and encouraging their own children, but also the children of the community. Jack coached while Wanda served as announcer, baseball score keeper and also set up and ran the concession stand. In later years, even up into her seventies she also kept score for her children and grandchildren’s softball teams.
Wanda served in the "Anna Miller Circle" for many years as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. She was and invaluable member of the organization always serving when and where needed, always with a generous and loving hand. Wanda cooked and coordinated spaghetti dinners at the Elks Lodge where the proceeds were to benefit the Florida Elks Youth Camp and also to the Harry Anna Children’s Hospital where at a time helped her own son Michael. One of Wanda’s "Special Committees" that was very dear to her heart was in overseeing the "Cedar Chest" at Christmas.

In her spare time since Wanda was "A Night Owl" she loved to crochet. She crocheted many baby blankets for grandbabies, great grandbabies and Friends.
Wanda was an avid seamstress, sewing and assembling jumper swings, making wedding dresses and outfits for three generations! For many years Wanda loved spending time with friends and family playing games such as Bingo and Uno. Wanda was always compassionate about serving her community when and wherever she was called upon. Wanda was a pillar of the Eustis community and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers donations can be made at Hamlin and Hilbish to benefit the Anna Miller Circle which was so dear to Wanda’s Heart. Memorial services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Sunday, February 7th at 2 PM with Rev. Brooks Braswell officiating. The final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
