Dear Mike,
I was especially sorry to learn about the recent loss of your dear mother. Although I didn't know her well, I do remember how warmly she always greeted me and how she always made me feel comfortable and welcome in her presence. It's been over 40 years since I saw her last, yet I still think of her with a twinkle in her eyes and a charming smile. We were all fortunate to have her in our lives, no matter how briefly.

I remember in the spring of 1955 Jinney and I dug up lilacs from the fields around her house and planted them in my yard. I live on a corner lot and they are on both sides of my yard. 58 years later they are still going strong. Every time they bloom in the spring I think of that time, and everytime in the future that I smell the wonderful fragrance of these lilacs I will think of her. Thanks Jinney! I've only seen her a couple of times since they moved to Florida in 1964 but we talked several times a year and always on my birthday. We shared news of our families, ect. I'll miss those calls; she was a dear friend. She raised 3 wonderful boys that turned into kind and responsible men, that is a sign of a good mother, "you live what you learn".

Her family has every reason to celebrate a life well lived. She will be missed, but most of all she will always be remembered. Wishing love and peace to all of you.
