Dear Family: I will forever remember your mother from the days when Carol and I were kids. She always seemed to be so glamorous and her job seemed so exciting. She was so kind to me when I could wangle an invitation to eat supper at their house. Mr. Mach was the best cook! She got me my first job for the summer as a file clerk in a NYC office. I wanted to have a career just like hers. She thought that if Carol and I and our boyfriends (later our husbands) double dated we'd behave ourselves. Little did she know what went on on the sofas in the living room! I know you will all miss her so much and hope memories from those of us who admired her help a little. Love to you all, Roberta
