Victor V. Morris' Obituary
Victor V. Morris, 71, of Leesburg, Florida, went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 17, 2025. Born on May 12, 1954, in Eustis, Florida, Victor was the oldest of two children born to Vescola Van Morris and Lucy (McEwen) .
Victor was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra “Debbie” Morris; his sister, Joanne; his children, Christine Folker (Jesse) and Joseph Morris; and his treasured grandchildren—Lauren and Matthew Magnifico, Cody Folker, and Alexi Morris, who were the light of his life.
Victor dedicated more than 30 years to public service, beginning his career in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff and continuing with the State of Florida in Corrections, where he retired as a Sergeant. Throughout his career, he was known not only for his leadership and professionalism but also for his steady presence, mentorship, and integrity. Even in the most challenging situations, Victor’s outlook never wavered. “It is always a lovely, lovely day,” he would say—a phrase that perfectly reflected his calm strength and unwavering positivity.
Victor’s deep love and devotion to his wife were evident to all who knew him. A man of deep faith and quiet wisdom, Victor never met a stranger. He had a warm, jovial nature, a love for good food, and a gift for making others feel comfortable in his presence. Though he was a man of few words, when Victor spoke, his words mattered and were often remembered long after. He enjoyed westerns, classic films, and science fiction, and found the greatest joy not in crowds or celebrations, but in intimate moments shared with those he loved.
Above all else, Victor cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an incredibly proud grandfather. His legacy is one of love, service, humility, and steadfast faith—qualities that will live on through those who knew and loved him. Victor’s proudest accomplishment was instilling in his children a strong work ethic and a fierce tenacity that would guide them throughout their lives.
A celebration of Victor’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends.
