Theodore M. "Ted" Tiemann's Obituary
Theodore Michael “Ted” Tiemann 65, of Eustis, Florida peacefully passed away on September 11, 2017.Funeral services will be held on September 23, in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel, 326 E. Orange Avenue, Eustis. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30. The final resting place will be in Mount Calvary, Wisconsin. Ted was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on June 28, 1952. He graduated from John Marshall Jr. Senior High School in 1970 and earned an Associate Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Milwaukee Area Technical College and an Associate Degree in Cosmetology from Orlando Cosmetology. Ted was married to Karen on June 12, 1976; they were married for 32 years and had three beautiful children; Philip Troy, Paul Adam and Theresa Marie. Ted later divorced but maintained a friendly relationship with Karen throughout the years. He remained with his companion Rodney Root for the following 10 years. Ted worked as a Horticulturist for his own business, Dimensional Landscaping and Design for seven years while teaching at Fox Valley Technical College and later became a Master Gardner at Walt Disney World for 18 years. As a cosmetologist, he worked as a private contractor throughout retirement at Senior Hair Care for nine years. He was a loving devoted and proud father and grandfather and enjoyed family time, landscaping, hairdressing collecting and antiquing. Favorite family memories of the children include; making a wooden go-cart together, doing his children’s hair, and his forever willingness to be there at the drop of a hat whenever they needed him. Ted was also an active church and community volunteer. Theodore is survived by his father; Theodore Tiemann of Eustis, Florida; his former wife; Karen Tiemann of Little Chute, Wisconsin, companion; Rodney Root of Eustis, his children; Philip (Araceli) Tiemann of West Palm Beach, Florida, Paul (Marleny) Tiemann and grandson Nathanial of Sunrise, Florida, Theresa (David) Smith of Winter Springs, Florida and other family and friends. He was predeceased by his adored step-mother Rita Barsh Tiemann. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the MS Society or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. The family deeply thanks the Florida Hospital Altamonte Oncology Department and Cornerstone Hospice Blue Team.
