Terri Esther Gold's Obituary
Terri Esther Gold of New York City passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the age of 93 years. She was born in Puerto Rico. Terri attended nursing school to volunteer in World War II. The war ended shortly before she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Terri advanced in her career and was the Head Nurse of Labor and Delivery for many years. She eventually became Head Nurse at GHI Medical, from where she retired. Terri enjoyed shooting pistols and became New York State Champion 3 years in a row in the late 1950’s, early 1960’s. She was a classy lady. She was very kind and always wanting to help others. Terri was adored by her daughter’s friends. She was an amazing cook. Terri was also very talented at needlework, especially French needlepoint, which is very detailed and created beautiful art pieces. She also traveled extensively, traveling around the world twice. She had several Yorkies, which she loved dearly.
Terri was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Fragoza, Jr. She is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband of 72 years, Sheldon; daughter and son-in-law, Gari Lynn and Donald Shehigian of East Greenbush, New York; sister, Carole Fragoza of Mount Dora, Florida; grandson, Paul Shehigian of New York, New York and several nieces including, Marlena Fernandez, Cristina Fernandez, Jessica Bradway and Elizabeth (Brian) Alexander.
