From the day I met you until the day God called you home my heart was filled with love. You embraced us your siblings here in the U.S. with so much joy and affection. Stephen my beloved brother, you were my loving, caring and fun filled older brother who made my world a better place, a safe place and a happy place. I will treasure you always. You'll always be in my heart and mind. Condolences to all the family and friends.
My Deepest Sympathy To the Family at this time of Sorrow
I Thank God For Allowing me to be his Friend
Added on behalf of my Cousin Pearline Phillips of United Kingdom.
met Cousin Stephen around 2015/16 at Barbados Association meeting and he mentioned he was related to Russell family. He said his grandfather was Beresford Russell and I remember hearing that name mentioned among the family. Also Ulric Russell who I had visited with my father. I met his wife Rose and spent many weekends with them.
When his wife Rose died, he was heartbroken and lonely. He and Cisco would spend many Holidays and weekends with me at my home, and Birthday celebrations either at my home or out for lunch or dinner.
Fond memories of our trips to Atlanta, Kingsley Plantation, Florida, Clewiston and Belle Glade, South Florida where he came to the United States on contract to cut sugar cane. He remembered the club he used to attend after work. The area hasn't developed much.
We would talk everyday and his greeting would be "Aunty”!
Stephen loved to dress. If he's going to the Bank, store, anywhere he always wore a jacket, suspenders, dress shoes and briefcase.
