Sheila Croak Coffey 72, of Grand Island, passed away on August 1, 2017. She was a graduate of Mt. Dora High School and a Christian. She worked as a loan officer in local banks including First Family Federal Savings and Loan of Eus Read Obituary

Sheila was the first friend that I made when my parents retired and dragged me from urban New Jersey to Tangerine Florida. Can you say culture shock!! We had moved before the school year began so Sheila took me by the hand and introduced me to the wonders of Mt. Dora. Her smile and humor were infectious. We shared many laughs over the years...you know the kind where one or two words were all that were needed to send us into fits of laughter. The First family our family met when we moved to Mt Dora was the Croaks. I have a lot of fond memories of Sheila. She truly was beautiful inside and out. I will miss her.

Sheila and I grew up together in Mt. Dora graduating in 1963 from MDHS. Sheila and I have remained very close friends all these years. I will miss her greatly - her laughter, her jokes and sense of humor, always caring about someone else -- never taking time for herself. She loved her family so much!!! What a tremendous loss to her family and friends. Love you, Sheila and I will see you someday in Heaven!!!

Sheila and I were childhood friends when she lived in Tangerine and our summers in NC. She was a lively person and will be missed.
