Salvatore J. "Sal" Porrello's Obituary
Salvatore J. "Sal" Porrello passed away on March 6, 2019. He was born in New York City and had made Eustis his home for 40 years. Sal was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis and was a retired commercial Pilot having worked with Eastern Airlines. He was a Veteran of World War II where he served as a Pilot in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Retired Airline Pilots Association. Sal will be deeply missed by his wife Claire, they were married for 50 years. Also surviving are his son, Jeffrey Porrello (Faye) of Green Valley, Arizona, his brother, Lucio Porrello (Gail) of Florida, his sister, Ellen Porrello of Long Island, New York, sister in law, Jeannie Weckenmann of Germany and many very dear friends. The family will receive friends in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Friday, March 8th from 4 until 6 PM, there will be a Wake Service at 5 PM. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis on Saturday, March 9th at Noon, interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
