Ronald J. Chermely's Obituary
Ronald J. Chermely 70, of Tavares, passed away on September 16, 2012. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and made his home in Florida and Alabama most of his adult life. Ron was a member of the Unity church and served as a Captain in the United States Army, he was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the 14th Calvary Association of Cleveland, Ohio, he enjoyed bass fishing and served his community as a past president of the New Port Richey Optimist Club and a life member of Optimist International. Ron was currently a Counselor for Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors and Lakeside Memory Gardens, both of Eustis. He is survived by his daughter, Laura (Dan) Linton of Cary, North Carolina, brother Jeffrey Chermely of Knoxville, Tennessee, grandchildren Catherine Linton, Connor Linton and Michelle Linton all of Cary, North Carolina. Also surviving is his former wife Dorothy Dennett of Asheville, North Carolina. Services were held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Thursday, September 20th at 11 AM, the family received friends from 10 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
