Dear Audrey,
For some reason I was guided today to try once more to find any sign of you and found this internet note of Roger’s passing. I knew that he had passed on but had totally lost tangible contact with you. But I never forgot the wonderful time we had in China, where we met, and our trip to Africa together with Patricia. Patricia and I often remind each other of the wonderful time we had together with you and Roger and we all always admired you both for your light-hearted sense of adventure and fun. I particularly remember how Roger led our China group in a spontaneous dance in Russian winter coats in that hotel on top of the mountain. (Can’t remember what it was called), but I have a vivid picture in my mind.
I know this comes awfully late but I did write a couple of times to The Villages knowing that you had left Lily Bay.
There is a notice on this website about an Audrey Rice who passed on on the 4 November 2016? For some reason I cannot open the Obituary to ascertain the identity.
My heart sinks to think it might be you and we never had a chance to talk/meet again. And although I never met your family, I know how much you loved them all. Always sowing something for one or the other.
I know Life goes on and I am happy to have such lively memories of both you and Roger which will always remain with me.
To you and all your loved ones I send heartfelt
greetings.
