Robert T. Prosser's Obituary
Mr. Robert T. "Bob" Prosser, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the age of 72 years. Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Pat moved to Sorrento in 1995 from Chicago. He spent 4 1/2 years serving his country in the US Marine Corp. Bob retired from the police department in Chicago after 34 years of service. He was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Mount Dora, where he was a former Eucharistic minister. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Bob loved to fish and make stained glass. He is remembered by his wife of 39 years, Pat; sons, Robert Prosser Jr. and his wife, Shelley of Plainfield, IL and Brian Blazek of Yorkville, IL ; daughter, Kelly Avraam and her husband, Nick of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Madelyn Prosser and Michael Blazek. He was the fond uncle of 3 nephews and a niece as well. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. Mass was held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 9:00 am at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Final resting place will be Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Chicago.
