Robert Lee Soble's Obituary
Robert (Bob) Lee Soble, 78, of Leesburg Florida entered his heavenly home on June 6, 2024 after a very short battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Ethel (most know her as Nanny), 7 Children: Richard Soble (Tracy), Christina Rideout (Kerry), David Hunnicutt (Vanessa), Mary Kaiser (TJ), Darlene Conley, Albert McCranie (Dee), and Penny Hicks (Wayne); 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Bob also leaves behind many very loving friends that will miss him greatly.
Bob was predeceased by his parents: Richard L. Soble and Bessie Showers Soble, and his first love of 27 years, Barbara A. Barfield Soble.
Bob lived a very fulfilling life, spending 7 years with the Army and over 20 years working with F.W. Woolworth and Company traveling the U.S. After leaving Woolworth, Bob owned a lawn care in the Florida heat, after which he became a builder in NC, and finally returned to Florida for retirement. Bob enjoyed being on the water whether it be for pleasure with family and friends or fishing in tournaments. Bob’s wife and children were his biggest joys in life. His family and friends will hold dear many stories to tell. His departure comes as a deep shock and a deep wound and is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community.
