Robert John Mesch's Obituary
Robert John Mesch of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 88 years. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Robert was Catholic by faith. He proudly served his country in the US Army in the Korean War. Robert worked for Standard Oil in Illinois as a service fitter until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, train watching and model railroading. Robert moved to central Florida in May 2013 from Rochelle, Illinois. He was preceded in death in 2010 by his wife of 58 years, Arlene, two children, Michele Mesch in 1955 and Robert E. Mesch in 2015, his parents, Arnold and Catherine Mesch and his siblings, Leona Mesch, Francis Kring, Arnold Mesch, Jr., Lorraine Lawrenz and Audrey VanKirk. Robert is remembered and will be dearly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Gary Kemp of Leesburg; daughter-in-law Lorraine Mesch; brother, Clarence Mesch of McHenry, Illinois; sister, Shirley (William) Tannhauser of Illinois; four grandchildren, Jeanette (Jay) Mulholland of Davis Junction, IL, Christopher (Stephanie) Kemp of Somonauk, Illinois, Steven Mesch of Broomfield, Colorado and Shelley Mesch of Madison, Wisconsin; and five great grandchildren, Evan Kemp, Jina Mulholland, Jorja Mulholland, Alexander O'Connell and Quentin O'Connell. Services will be held in the chapel at St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, IL 60714, Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service. A luncheon will be held afterwards at the White Eagle Restaurant, 6839 North Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL 60714. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
