Robert B. Maufroy's Obituary
Robert Maufroy, 60 of Signal Mountain, TN died Monday, July 8th of acute lymphatic leukemia. LCDR, USN Ret. Doctor of Pharmacy, Nuclear Engineer, Electrical Engineer: Bob was honored to work the graveyard shift as a Clinical Pharmacist at Erlanger Hospital and before that, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He considered safeguarding his patients as a sacred responsibility. His home was always warm with the love of rescued pets; mostly those too old and sick to be considered "adoptable". Bob's had many interests, but his the hobbies that were most fulfilling for him allowed him to teach, sailing and diving. He was certified to train instructor candidates by NAUI, PADI and NSS/CDS and was certified as a sailing instructor as well. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anna Brandt, his nephews Leon Maufroy, Jr., Todd Maufroy and Christopher Maufroy, their progeny and his golden retrievers Ginger, Blondie and Teddy. Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday August 9th at Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 326 Orange Ave, Eustis, FL. Graveside military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either DAV, Wounded Warrior or Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida.
