Robert G. Hague Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Guy Hague, Sr., 94, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2016 after a long, well-lived life. He was born on October 16, 1921 in Lore, Ohio to Howard and Lola Hague. Robert (Bob) attended Comstock Elementary School and continued his education until graduating from Miami Jackson High in 1940. He joined the Navy, and later met and married his love, Lucy Faye McFadden. He was deployed overseas and served from 1940 - 1945 during WWII. Upon retiring from the Navy, he had several jobs before his career at Westinghouse as a Service Engineer for 38 years. He had the opportunity to move from Miami, FL to Jacksonville, FL to Charlotte, NC and to York, SC, meeting many dear friends along the way. After retiring from his final job at ThermoKing, he made his final home in Eustis, Florida. He enjoyed anything involving the water, mostly fishing with his friends and family. He knew great fishing spots all over Florida. He was a kind man who never hurt a soul. He was always available when in need by his family and friends. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lucy and his son Robert G. Hague, Jr. (Nancy), He is survived by his daughters, Allayne Nichols (Nick), Helen Cross (Chris), five grandchildren, Mike (Iris), Brenda, Rick (Nadine), Patty (Shean), and Jeff (Marissa). He had 8 great grandchildren, Mia, Megan, Chad, Danielle, Darian, Mallory, Morgan, and Kyle. The memorial service will held Saturday, April 2, 2016, 12pm, at Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home, 326 East Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726. 352-357-4193.
