Robert A. Burbank's Obituary
Robert A. Burbank of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the age of 77 years. He was born in Chelsea, Vermont. Robert proudly served his country in the US Navy. He and his wife were the former owners of Citrus Soaring in Mount Dora where they were flight instructors. He was the recipient of the Wright Brothers Award, being recognized for dedicating over 50 years to aviation. In his free time he enjoyed gardening. He also loved model planes and model railroads. Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth, on June 3, 2015 and his sister, Betty Burbank in 2012. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Kristen Burbank of Mount Dora; brothers, James Burbank and his wife, Elsie of Chelsea, VT and Kevin Burbank and his wife, Pam of Boscawen, NH; and sister, Ginny Campbell and her husband, Richard of Chelsea. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
