Bob was truly a remarkable man. He was compassionate, loving, understanding, always willing to help others and I was blessed to be able to call him my dad. One memory I would like to share is when I was in college at Seminole State. I had to take a public speaking class and one of our assignments was to write a thank you letter to someone in our life. I read my letter out loud in class and thanked Bob for being our father when he didn’t have too. I thanked him for caring and supporting myself, my brother and sister. Bob was the rock in our family. At the end of class, my professor asked me if I had shared the letter with Bob. I said no. My professor then instructed me to do so. So I shared the letter with Bob. We both were emotional and Bob grabbed me and gave me the biggest hug and reminded me that we were a blessing in his life also and how proud he was of me, Josh and Sarah. Another great memory was when I went to San Diego with Bob to visit his sister, Terri. It was my first time traveling and site-seeing w Bob without my brother and sister. We had so much fun, from the beach, to walking around the city, going whale watching (which of course Bob pushed people out of my way so I could get a better look), to seeing all the sea lions and of course we had to go to the legal weed store. It was definitely a memorable vacation and I’m so thankful that Bob and Terri included me. The plane ride home was not so great. I think I had food poisoning or something but Bob took care of me and drove my car home so I could get some rest. And if anyone knows how Bob drives, then you know we got home fast! Bob then continued checking in on me the following days, laughing how he didn’t get sick but Terri and I did. I will keep every memory of Bob close to my heart and I promise I will never forget you. I’m still not ready to say goodbye! Love you always!
