Richard Andrew Ruszala's Obituary
Richard Andrew Ruszala of Eustis, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the age of 78 years. He married his childhood sweetheart Rebecca "Becky" Ruszala on August 11, 1962, and they were happily married for 59 years. His life touched those of many as his adventures included living in New Jersey and Missouri before finally settling down and retiring in Florida. He was a cherished friend, neighbor, co-worker, accomplished bird farmer (including ostriches), and master builder, as well as adored father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Richard is predeceased by his parents Frank and Edna, and 4 brothers Robert, Edward, Frank, and his twin Raymond. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ruszala; Sons Richard Ruszala of Astatula, Florida, William Ruszala (Maria) of Kissimmee, Florida, James Ruszala (Carmen) of St. Louis, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. While now departed, his legacy will live forever as a true example of how such a free spirited, genuine, humble, and fun loving soul can help us all live, learn and love more and more everyday. Families draw strength from each other, extended family, and friends in knowing Richard will always be remembered and remind in their hearts as well as those his life had touched.
There will be a gathering at Hamlin Hilbish Chapel on Saturday January 22, 2022 from 2:00pm- 4:00pm with a service following at 4:00pm.
