Richard E. "Rich" Rupe's Obituary
Richard Eugene Rupe Sr. (Rich) of Eustis, Florida passed away on Monday, April 19th, 2021. He was born July 27th, 1936 in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late Herbert Sr. & Mabel Rupe and was one of eight children. Rich served honorably as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army Reserves 865th Engineer Battalion. He then moved to Florida with his first wife Patricia in 1958 where they had two children and he found his passion for carpentry. Later in life he met and married his second wife Linda while he was working as a Maintenance Manager at the Golden Gem juice plant in Umatilla, FL and they had one child together.
Rich was known as a loving partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He had a passion for carpentry, engineering and helping others. He was well known for his phenomenal tile & marble work. He was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Rupe; brothers Herbert, Darrell, and Burdell; sisters Evelyn and Baby Rupe. He is survived by his partner Linda Rupe; children Richard Rupe Jr. and Shane Rupe; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Mary and Esther.
A gathering for family and friends will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday May 1st, 2021 at 1:00pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm. To view the service online, click the link below at service time:
