Richard David Hunnicutt's Obituary
Richard David Hunnicutt of Eustis, Florida passed away on Thursday October 6, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born on January 2, 1947, to his parents Marion Harrison and Mamie Louise Hunnicutt in Macon, Georgia. Richard lived in many places from Pennsylvania to Georgia, when he eventually settled in Eustis, Florida in 2006 with his wife. Richard married Carol Hunnicutt on August 20, 1994, in Hudson, Florida, and they were married for 28 years. Richard was also a member of the Seminole Baptist Church in Eustis, Florida.
Richard was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1967. He also worked in the Mortgage Banking industry under many positions including private consultant, Senior Vice President Director, and Senior Manager. He was the past president for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida 1989-1990, chairman for MPAC Committee for 17 years, president of Mortgage Bankers Association of Central Florida from 1977-1978, past member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee, and past chairman MPAC Committee- MBA of Florida for 15 years. One of his passions along with all of this other work was that he worked for the Lake County Sheriffs office, and volunteered as long as he could for crimes against seniors. This work he continued as long as he could due to the love and care he had for people.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, 2 sisters, 3 children, many grandchildren, and loved ones.

There will be a gathering on Thursday November 03, 2022 from 9:30am-10am, with a service to follow at 10am in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel. This will be followed by inurnment at Florida National Cemetery at 1pm on Thursday November 3, 2022.
