Richard D. "Dick" Massey's Obituary
Richard D. "Dick" Massey 81, of Eustis passed away on October 20, 2015. He was born to Frank May and Ruth Drawdy Massey in Dade City, Florida and was a long time Eustis and Lake County resident. A man of principle, he was a Christian and throughout his life worked and managed in all aspects of the citrus industry. Dick played football and baseball at the University of Florida and was a lifelong Gator Booster, he was also a member of Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Mary Jane, in 2008, they were married for 53 years, and his brother Frank Massey Jr. in 2005. He is survived by his children; R.D. "Rick" (Tera) Massey Jr. of Altoona, Mary Kim George of Vero Beach, Scott W. (Kathy) Massey of Indiantown and Matthew Massey of Eustis, his grandchildren; Dillard J. (Rachel) George, Kara Jane Jones and Joseph S. Jones II and his great grandchildren; Grant T. George and Tallulah C. George. Family services will be held at a later date.
