Cissie was my first friend when I moved to Eustis! I remember calling her Rhoda Beth which she hated until we learned that Cissie was better! Her family was my family! They took me in and loved me as one of their own!! There are thousands of memories and none are anything but good! I never thought she would not be where I couldn’t reach out if I needed to!! I will miss her the rest of my life! I loved her very much!

Rhoda was so kind and such a wonderful support to me as a teacher as much as to the students she loved so well. Visiting with her during my planning period allowed me to get to know the very special person she was. The world has lost a light, but heaven gained a voice of praise upon her passing. Rhoda is truly missed.
Rhoda was always a leader with the class of 74. Always involved in planning events. Great friend and person. So sad that we lose yet another member of our class. Such a beautiful soul.
We were friends in elementary school and both live near Lake Gracie. Peaceful rest, Rhoda.
We had so much fun our senior year. I don’t know how many trips we made to Winter Park to watch “American Graffiti” all of us piled up in her mom‘s station wagon. She is just such a wonderful friend and the core of the EHS class of 1974! She will be truly missed!!

Our families were long time friends. Lee and Len (Rhoda’s parents) and Shirley and Tom (my parents) bowled all over Fl in tournament, played weekend cards games, and were staples at EHS Friday night football games. I fondly recall the kids (Jimmy, Cissie, Me and Tim) playing cards and games until we fell asleep late at night while the parents continued their rollicking fun. Cissie was like that big sister we all looked up to. RIP.
You were always the brightest and most dedicated person. You taught me so much when we were at HRS. Rest, my friend.
