Prayers for your family to have strength.
You were an awesome person with a beautiful family.
Many people will miss you dearly.
R I P beautiful
Rena is one of my closest and dearest friends. What memories to share? There are so so many which speak to how beautiful a person she was.
Her amazing faith which never faltered - I attended Mass with her when visiting her in Ohio and to watch how she kept her faith in God through all the years was amazing - I remember sitting with her in a gym in high school watching a basketball game and talking faith and religion with her - even then her faith was deep and sincere.
Her presence of calm - I never really saw her overly upset or mad. She had a soothing nature about her even when she was upset. It doesn’t mean she never did get upset but her upset even had a calm to it. Even in the face of cancer she was calm. I had the chance to visit with her and the family (it wasn’t long enough) last August and even then, she was calm.
Her sense of humor was fabulous - at the same visit as above she snuck Mary, her mom, into the clubhouse and didn’t say two licks to me about her coming. I hadn’t seen Mary in a few decades, so it took me A LOT longer to realize it was her. Rena cracked up. She also would call each time she was pregnant with a “I got some news” and my response was “you’re pregnant”. We’d pass notes in high school and I would address hers as “Rena Reagan” and I was “Holly Bush”.
Her undying friendship - her friendship to me is eternal. She will always be my closest and dearest friend. If she has something to say, I know she’ll find a way to say it (John - you know it!) She was strong, unwavering, and loving. She was my first visitor after I had my daughter at 17. She and John were there when my daughter had breast cancer to lift me up. She is so incredibly special. Even after all these years, even if we hadn’t talked in awhile, she never ever doubted our friendship.
I love her so much. Ride high my friend ❤️
My heart goes out to the family. I did not know Rena very well but I do know that she made my best friend the happiest man. She was not only a wonderful wife to him but an awesome mother to her children. My condolences and prayers are with you all in this difficult time.
