Remo William "Ray" D'Ercole's Obituary
Remo William “Ray” D’Ercole 88, of Lake Mary passed away on June 10, 2014. He was born in Newton Center, Massachusetts and moved to Central Florida in 1962 then to Lake Mary from Altamonte Springs in 2000. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is also retired from the United States Postal Service, a member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter 2112 of Orlando where he was a 4th degree Knight. He is survived by his wife Barbara and was predeceased by his first wife Aida in 2001. He is also survived by his children Karen Sykes of Auburndale, Florida, Susan D’Ercole (Eddy) Howell of Eustis, Valerie Horneffer of Longwood, Florida and Stephen (LeeAnn) D’Ercole of Lake Mary, his brothers; Bruno D’Ercole and Joseph D’Ercole, sister Yolanda Olmedi all of Massachusetts, his grandchildren; Gary “Jay” Sykes Jr., Grant Horneffer, Lauren Horneffer (Brian) McCaffrey and Stephanie D’Ercole. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 North Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750 at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 14th with Rev. Ralph DuWell officiating, interment with Military Honors will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Sanford.
