Raye Tilda Howe's Obituary
Raye Tilda Hodges Howe, 85, a lifelong resident of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Raye, or Gram, as she was known by to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, graduated in 1954 from Eustis, High School. She worked for many years in banking and retired at one time, only to resume work once again in the same field and finally retired permanently in 2010.
For the past seven years or so, she and her sister, Marlene enjoyed many, many hours of crafting side by side. They were together almost everyday spending time doing wood crafts, quilting, painting, making countless hand made treasures for members of the family and many others.
Raye always had a smile on her face for everyone and was forever there for her family. She will be missed dearly by her family and many others.
She is predeceased by her husband: Claude Howe; Parents: Cohen and Rebecca Hodges; sister: Marlene Kemp; two grandchildren: Nicholas Rae and Justin Matheny.
Raye is survived by her three daughters: Debra “Debbie” Dixon, Arlene ”Candy” Jones, and Darlene “Dee” Booth; grandchildren: Jamie Durham, Kyle Stultz, Eric Williams, Jordan Matheny and Mia Schmit; great-grandchildren: Carolann, Jake, Nicholas, Brodie, and Madison; Nephew: Mark Kemp and Niece: Stacy Osebold, who loved her very much.
There will be an informal Celebration of life at the home of her daughter, Debbie on November 07, 2020 from 2:00Pm – 4:00PM for those who would like to attend, share fond memory and visit.
Services have been entrusted to Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis
