Patrick Daniel Lyons June 7, 1947 – November 25, 2024
Patrick Daniel Lyons, age 77, of Grand Island, Florida, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 25, 2024. Born on June 7, 1947, in Ohio, he was the son of Paul and Edith Lyons.
Patrick was married to the love of his life, Ann B. Lyons, on July 24, 1984, and they shared 40 wonderful years together. A devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Patrick’s life was a testament to generosity, kindness, and unwavering faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edith Lyons; his brother, Paul Lyons; his sister, LauraJean Hein; and his stepdaughter, Deidre Bayshore. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; his stepdaughter, Barbara McChesney of Debary, Florida; his stepson, Jeffery Napier of Sanford, Florida; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Kathleen Monnier and Edith Snell of Ohio.
Patrick served his country honorably in the United States Navy as a Seabee and later retired from both the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department and the Navy. His dedication extended to his community and his faith as a devoted member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Eustis, Florida, and an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Patrick was a man who never met a stranger. His generous spirit, good humor, and endless stories endeared him to everyone he met. He had a passion for trains, a love for cruising, and an unwavering devotion to his wife, Ann, and his family. Patrick found peace in his faith and joy in serving others, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with God, his Creator, in eternal rest.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held at Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 326 East Orange Avenue, Eustis, Florida, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Lakeside Memory Gardens.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be across the street in the parking lot next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk across the street there will be parking in the back.

Patrick’s legacy of love, service, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family rejoices in the knowledge that he now dwells in the presence of his Lord, free from pain and surrounded by eternal love.
