So many wonder things have been said. I remember way back in Wilmington, NC - those college years - how happy she always seemed to be, and what a great couple Bill and Pat made. She was a wonder person. She will be miss greatly. One day we will all be united again -- what a great reunion that will be. Until then - I pray that God will bless Bill and Pat's Children, Bill, and the rest of the family.##imported-begin##Jay Moore##imported-end##
Dear BillI hearts break for you. We know you and Pat and a very special relationship as husband and wife and this has got to be a very hard time for you. Pat was a very special person. What a great thing to call her a friend. We have missed her so much since you left Miami and Florida Christian. Please know we are praying for you and the boys (men). Our memories of your family and friendship are very special to us. Robert and Katie Andrews##imported-begin##Katie Andrews##imported-end##
I met Pat when Shawn and Jordan were attending Florida Christian School in Miami. Pat worked in the front office at FCS and she was always full of life, loved the Lord, her family and her friends. Pat made everyone feel special and she always went the extra mile to be helpful and kind. After Pat, Bill and her sons moved to Eustis my husband and I visited them. As always she made us feel so at home and prepared a delicious Mexican meal, my favorite. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. I pray the Lord's comfort and strength for Bill, Shawn and Jordan in their great loss. I praise the Lord that we all know Pat is in heaven and one day they will be reunited with her and all of us will be together.##imported-begin##Wendy Vann##imported-end##

Too short....too soon....how saddened and shocked we were to receive the news of a dear sister...Ruby (Pat) Mead. I always liked her name, Ruby, and indeed today she is one of these.... "Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." Daniel 12:3 Pat was extraordinary in many ways as I think about those ways in my mind, going over the years we knew her and Bill and the boys at Jesus Fellowship. Extraordinary in her love and commitment to the Lord Jesus, her most powerful and evident quality, extraordinary in "loyal" commitment to family and friends and being a doer of the Word as well as a listener, extraordinary in excellence....everything Pat did was with excellence in service for the Lord and for others from cooking to service...she shined. We both took first place in a Jesus Fellowship bake-off --we both kept insisting to each other how we thought each other's recipe was better! What was also extraordinary is that Pat had a unique way in her walk with the Lord of seriously following Jesus' teaching and the Word while balancing following Christ with having fun ---what a gift! She had a contagious laugh and beauty that the Lord used for His glory! Ruby (Pat) Mead...you have joined the cloud of witnesses and one day we will join Jesus and you with the many friends and family of witnesses who have gone before us to the PRAISE AND GLORY OF HIS NAME! That is our "sure hope"! To Bill and Shawn and Emily and Jordan..."underneath are the everlasting arms" holding you, comforting you and this Swenk family along with many others, praying for you to be continually upheld and kept. Keep the faith and remember "always pray and don't lose heart". We join you today in Praising God...for a "Life Well Lived"......Your brother and sister in Christ Jesus, Dave and Diana Swenk##imported-begin##Dave and Diana Swenk##imported-end##

Pat's memorial was beautiful under the big oak tree on Lake Weir with family and many friends. I met Pat at Scotti and Larry's home for parties, showers, and that sort of thing. I knew she was beautiful and very very nice. At her memorial I really met her. I was not aware Pat was so accomplished. She was unassuming.I was touched when Bill spoke of their last communion together and their relation with God.##imported-begin##Marilyn Smith##imported-end##
Pat, I have so many fond memories of you! The tears filling my eyes are only ones of happiness. I can hear your voice and picture us sitting at the kitchen counter, as you let me ramble on about all the problems I had as a teenager. You always assured me everything would be ok, and we would often pray together just to be sure! I was only a part of your life for a short time, but in that time I gained a great friend and role model. I will never forget the fun times we shared and will be constantly reminded of your love for life. I miss you, but I know that I will see you again one day!Love, Jessi##imported-begin##Jessica S Cosden##imported-end##
