Patricia A. Davis' Obituary
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, Patricia Ann Davis (nee McDonald), a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away in Lutz, FL at the age of 85.
Patricia was born on July 16, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA to Daniel and Marie (Moran) McDonald. She moved to Audubon Park, NJ in 1945 and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School (Mt Ephraim) and St Joseph's Catholic High School (Camden). On October 12, 1957, she married Joseph Grant Davis Jr of Runnemede, NJ.
Patricia was a Procurement Specialist for Siemens and enjoyed country music, spending time with family, and traveling. She had been on countless cruises with her family, and made several trips to Ireland, including a trip on their 50th Wedding Anniversary to have their vows renewed at a Catholic Church in the Ireland Countryside. She loved a warm blanket, a good book, and a glass of white wine, and believed these to be the key to a long and healthy life. She couldn’t have been more right! Yet, her greatest achievement was being “Aunt Pat” to all of her nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. She was a constant light to all that knew her, with an infectious smile and the humility that is reserved for saints. Patricia has a love for the Lord and a strong Catholic faith.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Joseph G Davis Jr, her sisters Margaret (Henry), Dorothy (James), Gertrude (Robert), Dolores (Richard) and her brother Charles (Dottie). She is survived by her son Joseph G Davis III and his wife Elizabeth, her grandson Daniel and his wife Bailey, and her two great-grandchildren Henry and Rory.
Funeral Mass on July 14th, 2023 at 11am at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Rd, Lutz, FL 33558.
Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).
