Oswald A. Melchiorre III's Obituary
Oswald Andrea Melchiorre III. Better known by his family and friends as "GRANDPOP" passed away on January 8th, 2024. He was born January 14, 1938 in Wildwood, New Jersey to Oswald Melchiorre II and Jeane Anne Meyers.
Ossie is survived by his beloved wife Ialene Howell Melchiorre whom he married June 1st, 1956. Together they raised two sons Michael Andrea Melchiorre I, and Marcus Howell Melchiorre.
Ossie was a devoted, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love with 3 grandchildren Michael(Ashley) Andrea Melchiorre, Jenifer Melchiorre (Rex Allen) Cook, Desiree Antionetta Melchiorre. Who in turn filled Ossie's life with 6 great grand children Ryan, Michaela, Hannah, Mialee, Hayden, and Kialee.
Ossie's service extended beyond his professional career as ab electrical engineer for 30 years at Orlando Utilities Commission. As he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the United States Air Force.
He was an avid hunter who was a lifetime member of the Central Florida Dog Hunters, also a lifetime member of the NRA, Amvets, and the Elks. He was also a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Mt. Dora.
Services to celebrate "Grandpops" life will be planned at a later date.
Ossie will be deeply missed but his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. His was a life well lived, full of purpose, joy and abundance of love.
