Orville James "Carl" Sayles' Obituary
Mr. Orville James “Carl” Sayles of Sorrento, FL passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the age of 85 years. He was born in Davison, Michigan. Carl served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a retired operations manager for multiple car dealerships in the Maryland/Washington D.C. metro area for 25 years while living in Silver Spring, MD. Carl relocated to central Florida in 1989 from Soperton, GA, where he lived for a few years, moving there from Silver Spring. He was a member of the United Methodist Church while living in Maryland and Georgia. He later attended Christ's Church in Mt. Dora, Florida. Carl also served as a Boy Scout troop leader for several years. Carl was a passionate small plane pilot and loved to fly. His last plane was a Piper Tri-Pacer, which he had restored it to mint condition. He also enjoyed Golf, bowling and spending time with his family. Carl is remembered by his wife, Ella; son, Mark (Nanette) Sayles of Lizella, GA; daughters, Linda (Al) Chaney of Redwood, NY and Susan (John) Kmetz of Kemptown, MD; and grandchildren Rachel, JT, Bobby, Colton, Don, Jennifer and Jessica. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, FL. Condolences may be left for the family by signing the guestbook below.
