It's been 50 years since Carol brought Lee to meet her cousin, my dad. She was so happy and Lee quickly won all of our hearts. What a blessing for a wonderful couple to share a life full of many adventures. I am thankful to have been a witness to a great love story. The spirit of that love shall surely stay close forever.

My Uncle Lee had an indominatable spirit. I never knew him to give up or even waver, and he always showed determination and optimism in the face challenge. I always admired his thirst for knowledge and his love of science. He had a tender heart, despite a sometimes gruff exterior.
